PCA to Cooperate on Training of Mongolian Lawyers in Specialized Legal Fields

Ulaanbaatar, December 8, 2025 /MONTSAME/. A delegation of the Government of Mongolia, led by Minister of Justice and Home Affairs Enkhbayar Battumur visited the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), headquartered in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands, on December 5, 2025, and met with Marcin Czepelak, Secretary-General of the PCA.
According
to the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs, at the outset of the meeting, Minister Enkhbayar briefed the PCA on the policies and activities being
implemented by the Government of Mongolia and expressed interest in cooperating
to train Mongolian lawyers specializing in private law.
PCA
Secretary-General Marcin Czepelak stated
that the Court stands ready to support the organization of short- and
medium-term training programs and seminars tailored to the needs of Mongolian
lawyers, either in Ulaanbaatar or in The Hague, and to facilitate the
participation of a selected number of lawyers in advanced-level training.
The
Permanent Court of Arbitration was
established in 1899 by the First Hague
Peace Conference under the Hague Convention for
the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes.
The organization currently has 126 member states. Mongolia became a member in 2019.
