E.Iderkhuu defeats first opponent in Boxing World Championships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Four boxers of the national selected team are competing in the 2015 AIBA World Boxing Championship which kicked off Monday in Doha, Qatar.

On the first day of the fights, E.Iderkhuu IMS beat Jose Diaz Azocar from Venezuela in the first bout in the bantamweight division. His next rival will be Tayfur Aliyev from Azerbaijan in the second round to fight on October 9.

Asian champion and gold medalist of Asian Games G.Otgondalai had a bye in the first round and will fight with a winner of the first round of the lightweight category. International master of sports G.Gan-Erdene also had a bye in the first round, now will face Japanese Tomoya Tsuboi in the first round in the lightest weight category on October 8.

As scheduled, B.Tuvshinbat IMS will fight with a first opponent on Wednesday--a Czech Zdanek Chladek in the 69kg contest.

This year’s World Championship has attracted 260 boxers from 74 countries. Some 20 boxers will be qualified to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics.
