Mongolia will host 15 int’l tournaments next year

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Based on the law on physical culture and sport, the cabinet Monday approved a list of international competition that will be run in 2016 in Mongolia.

Mongolia will host the Rio 2016 Olympic qualification tournament for freestyle wrestling, the Sumo World Championships, the Archery University World Championships, the Judo Grand Prix, the Motocross World Cup, the Basketball University World Championships, the Junior Asian Chess Championship, Junior Asian Draughts Championship, the “Chingis Khaan-2016” international boxing competition, the futsal international clubs’ competitions, the “Mongolian Open” freestyle wrestling tournament, a cross-country international competition, a biathlon international competition, the “Ikh Nuudel” chess competition, and an aerobics international tournament.

Obligations were given to Ts.Oyunbaatar, the Deputy Premier and acting Minister of Health and Sport to carry out all the competitions with an approved budget and to present results to the cabinet in the fourth quarter of 2016.
