Government to grant artists cash prizes
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The cabinet Monday gave a permission to Minister of Education, Culture and Sciences L.Gantomor to give cash prizes to those artists who showed extraordinary performances in international competitions.
Accordingly, a soloist of the Military ensemble Ch.Badral is awarded 24 million MNT for becoming the first runner-up of the Tenth Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Young Opera Singers, which took place last August in Russian Saint Petersburg. Forty million Togrog goes to 12 circus artists for capturing the silver medal at the 15th International Circus Festival, held in Wuqiao of China last October.
A decision, realized by the Resolution No.120 issue in 2008, on giving cash prizes to artists who showed great performances in international cultural festivals, competitions and exhibitions, has been giving a strong impetus to the revival of various genres of arts and improvement of professional artists, considers the cabinet.
