Serviceman dies in helicopter crash at Nalaikh

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On December 23, at around 9 pm a Russian-made Mi-8 helicopter, with 11 people on board, crashed during the flight training near Nalaikh, reported the National Emergency Management Agency Wednesday. A serviceman, aged 37, died in the accident, according to the statement by the General Headquarters of Armed Forced December 24.

The rest are being treated at the central hospital of Armed Forces. The MIi-8 helicopter belongs to 337th military unit of the Mongolian Armed Forces. Official media statement will be given Thursday by the hospital on health conditions of the injured.

NEMA and police officers are working on the crash scene. Cause of the accident is unclear.
