Wreaths laid to Statue of State Seal

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the 104th anniversary of the declaration of the national independence, state leaders laid wreaths to the Statue of State Seal.

Present at the ceremony were Ts.Elbegdorj, the President of Mongolia; Z.Enkhbold, the Chairman of the State Great Khural (parliament); Ch.Saikhanbileg, the Prime Minister; and other officials.

The statue of the State Seal of Mongolia was erected as a part of the Chingis Khaan's monument and the State Honorary Ceremonial Hall at the northern garden of the State House.

The statue of the State Seal of Mongolia was sculpted with a tiger as a handle and four different state seals of the Great Mongol Empire, Mongolia under Bogd Khan's rule, the People's Republic of Mongolia established under the 1924 constitution, and the Mongolian Constitution passed in 1992.

The base of state seal sculpture features 168 seals of all Mongolian tribes dating back to ancient times in the statehood of Mongolia.
