Law on physical culture and sports might be renewed
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ministers approved a draft new wording of the law on physical culture and sports at their regular meeting on January 18, and decided to present it to parliament.
Ministry of Health and Sports considers that it is necessary to establish legal grounds where some functions regarding sports can be executed by non-governmental contract entities, to improve an involvement of sports organizations and a private sector in the development of physical culture and sports, to promote investments, and to enhance the ector’s human capacity and services in nowadays times of an increased attention on sports and healthy living both on national and global levels.
The law was adopted in 2003 and amended in 2007, 2009 and 2012.
