Minister of Environment addresses ITB Berlin opening

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ While being with a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG), the Mongolian Minister of Environment, Green Development and Tourism N.Battsereg MP attended an opening ceremony of the 2016 ITB Berlin international exhibition on March 8.

Last year, Mongolia took part in this grand action as the official partner.

Opening remarks were also made by Michael Muller, the Governing Mayor of Berlin; Mr Christian Goke, the CEO of ITB Berlin exhibition; Ms Iris Gleicke, the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy; and Mr Michael Frenzel, a president of the Federal Association of the German Tourism Industry (BTW).

Speeches were given the Secretary-General of the United Nations' World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Mr Taleb Rifai, and the Maldivian Minister of Tourism Mr Moosa Zameer as honored guests.

Founded in 1966, the ITB Berlin is the world's largest tourism trade fair. The companies represented  include hotels, tourist boards, tour operators, system providers, airlines and car rental companies.
