Young badminton players to be trained in Japan
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Three young Mongolians will study at secondary and high schools of Japan’s Fukuoka city to have extra training for badminton for one year.
The pupils B.Togoldor from Orkhon province, E.Gunzorig (Dornod) and E.Sumiyasuren (Darkhan-Uul) have been selected to have this training in accordance with a cooperation memorandum between the two countries’ National Olympic Committees within the “Tokyo-2020” programme, said Mongolia’s Badminton Federation (MBF).
The main purpose of the training is to prepare Mongolians for being qualified to compete in badminton event of the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. The selected ones will be coached by Ishiguro Nobuhisa, a Japanese teacher, who worked in Mongolia in 2003-2006 as a badminton coach by JICA.
