Asian youth chess championship to be held in Mongolia
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Asian Youth U8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 Chess Championship 2016 will take place on April 5-15 in the Sport complex of Trade Unions, Ulaanbaatar.
Mongolia has been awarded with the right to host the Asian Championship by a request of the Chess Federation of Mongolia (ChFM) from the World Chess Federation (FIDE).
An organizing committee for the forthcoming competition held its first meeting last week in the Ministry of Health and Sport, and appointed Ya.Sanjmyatav MP, the first vice president of the ChFM, as the organizing committee’s chair.
The ChFM has been selected as the general organizer of the 2016 Asian Youth Chess Championship. Other organizers are the Ministry of Health and Sport, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, and the Central Cultural Palace of Trade Unions.
