Prime Minister works in Sukhbaatar aimag

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg’s official appointment to Sukhbaatar aimag started Saturday by a meeting with the aimag administrators, heads of departments and agencies, and representatives of civil societies.

As of 2015, Sukhbaatar aimag has 17 thousand households, over 60 thousand citizens, with an economy based mainly on animal husbandry, introduced Mr J.Batsuuri, the aimag governor. He noted that he views agriculture, processing industries and transit transport as the key economic sectors in the future development of the region.

Sukhbaatar aimag has successfully organized the relocation of settlements and ensured proper land management, and has become the first aimag center with ring-road urban planning system in Mongolia, he added.

Present were also, Minister of Industry D.Erdenebat, a deputy chairman of the Cabinet Secretariat G.Ganbold, State Secretary of the Ministry of Road and Transport J.Bat-Erdene and the chairman of the Petroleum Authority G.Olziiburen, along with the other officials.

After meeting the aimag authorities, the Premier got au fait with the shopping centers, a new health center and a new housing district, and held a meeting with citizens.
