Mongolian and Brazilian judokas hold friendly tournament

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A friendly match between Mongolian and Brazilian judokas took place last Sunday in Sao Paolo of Brazil.

The Mongolian team comprised mostly young judokas, while the Brazilian included all judokas, who are qualified for 2016 Olympics, led by Olympic champion Sarah Menezes.

In men two weight categories and in women’s three divisions, the Brazilian team won the match.

Aired directly nationwide in Brazil, the friendly tournament was held in accordance with an agreement between the two countries on expanding the bilateral cooperation in sport, made during a visit of a Mongolian delegation to Brazil last year.

The Mongolian delegates of the Ministry of Health and Sport held a meeting with Paulo Wanderley Teixeira, a president of the Brazilian Judo Confederation.
