Border access of nuclear waste might be prohibited
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the regular meeting of the Cabinet on March 29, a bill on prohibiting border access for used nuclear fuel and radioactive waste was approved.
In accordance with the Law on Parliamentary Procedure, the Minister of Mining R.Jigjid submitted the bill to the Speaker Z.Enkhbold for an immediate discussion. The draft law provides that the import and transit transport for storage, temporary warehousing and burying of used nuclear fuel and radioactive waste, and other related activities will be banned.
