Judo team takes 9th place in Almaty Grand Prix
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ National team of Mongolia for judo grabbed medals in the Almaty Grand Prix tournament which was concluded on Saturday in Kazakhstan.
An international master of sports Ts.Tserennadmid won silver medal in the women’s 63 kg contest after being defeated by Pinot Margaux of France in the finals. In the women’s -70 kg division, Ts.Naranjargal also captured silver medal, who beat her rivals from Denmark, Angola and China in the preliminary rounds. In the finals, she lost to a French judoka Gahie Marie.
N.Dagvasuren IMS earned bronze medal in the men’s -81 kg bout. Other judokas were ranked 5-7th places in men’s and women’s contests.
Thanks to claiming the medals, the national team of Mongolia took ninth place in the tournament which was attended by judokas of 83 countries.
