Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its meeting held Tuesday under a closed regime, the faction of the Democratic Party (DP) consented a proposal of the Prime Minister on withdrawing three incumbent Ministers from the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party (MPRP).

The Prime Minister’s proposal was submitted on Monday to the DP faction head B.Garamgaibaatar to discharge the Deputy Prime Minister Ts.Oyunbaatar; the Minister of Construction and Urban Development Z.Bayabselenge; and the Minister of Defense Ts.Tsolmon from the posts they are occupying presently.

“The Democratic Party formed the cabinet together with the ‘Justice’ coalition of MPRP and Mongolian National Democratic Party (MNDP) after winning major seats at parliament as the results of the 2012 elections. In times of approaching of the 2016 parliamentary elections, the ‘Justice’ coalition was disbanded, therefore the MNDP decided to run for the elections, supporting the DP, while the MPRP decided to compete  independently in the elections.

Due to the decisions of these parties, the Prime Minister submitted its proposal to parliament to withdraw the three incumbent Ministers by its discretion in accordance with the Constitution of Mongolia and the law on government,” the official document says.
