New MPs to receive temporary certificates

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The General Election Commission (GEC) reported Thursday morning that newly-elected MPs are expected to receive temporary certificates on Friday.

According to preliminary results of the elections, the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) won overwhelming majority of seats in parliament (65 seats), while the Democratic Party gained nine seats, the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party (MPRP)--one seat, and an independent candidate--one seat.

A list of new MPs will be submitted to the President soon, the GEC said.
