President receives Vietnam’s PM
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj received Wednesday the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc, on the sidelines of the latter’s official visit to Mongolia.
The latter thanked the Mongolian side for the warm welcome, and informed that the prime ministers held official talks and considered ways to broaden bilateral ties. They also touched upon the issue of mobilizing works, agreed during the Mongolian President’s visit to Vietnam in 2013.
He noted that Mongolia and Vietnam has great deal of opportunities to cooperate in economy, investment, mining, as well as in politics, and pledged Vietnam’s support for Mongolia to be elected as the UN Human Rights Committee member in 2017-2018.
President Ts.Elbegdorj highlighted that the defense cooperation is significant, and offered Vietnam to start partaking in “Khan Quest” international military exercises. “Cultural heritage conservation and repair works at Bogdkhan’s Palace and Choijin Lama Temple Museum are the kind of works that are in favor of the people”, the President said.
At the end of the meeting, the president wished the Vietnamese delegation a convenient stay in Mongolia and conveyed his warm welcome.
The foreign delegation is to take part in the 11th ASEM Summit and the Mongolia-Vietnam Business Forum.
