Speaker meets Prime Minister of Vietnam
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chairman of the State Great Khural M.Enkhbold received Thursday Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, who is on an official visit here.
Expressing satisfaction with meeting the Vietnamese Prime Minister at the State House, the Speaker underlined significance of the Vietnam PM’s participation in the ASEM Summit and his official visit for boosting bilateral relations and cooperation.
The Speaker thanked the Vietnamese side for rendering support in the ASEM Summit preparation works and focusing a great attention to the sideline meetings. He emphasized Mongolia strives for fostering mutually-beneficial and fruitful economic cooperation with Vietnam.
The Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc thanked the Speaker for the audience and agreed with the Speaker that his visit has importance for bringing the bilateral relations and cooperation up to a new level.
Noting that the Mongolia-Vietnam friendly relations and cooperation have been developing, the Premier pointed out he exchanged views with his Mongolian counterpart on boosting bilateral relations and cooperation in coming years. He also underlined the countries have a great chance to progress the inter-parliamentary ties.
M.Enkhbold briefed about results of the elections of parliament and the Citizens’ Representative Khural (Council) of the capital city, saying that the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) gained overwhelming majority of seats at both parliament and city Council. He underlined that the new parliament and cabinet of Mongolia will continue forwarding the traditional friendly relations and cooperation with Vietnam.
The inter-parliamentary ties play a vital role in the bilateral relations and cooperation, said Enkhbold, and considered as necessity to promote the ties between the legislative bodies by making the Parliamentary Offices’ cooperation closer and seeking a chance for rendering legal support in developing the bilateral relations.
The sides exchanged views on the Mongolia-Vietnam cooperation on the international arena.
