Principal shareholder of UB Railway joint venture appointed

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its meeting on Wednesday, the cabinet approved a resolution on appointing the Minister of Road and Transportation as the Mongolian principal shareholder of the Ulaanbaatar Railway Joint Venture.

Previously, the Mongolian part’s principal shareholder of the company were the Cabinet Secretariat and the Ministry of Finance. Mongolia owns half of the company’s shares, and the government of Mongolia considers that the Mongolia-owned shares should be kept whole and be managed by the sector's Ministry.
