10 thousand children to be gifted free milk on Children’s Day

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ As the UN Food and Agriculture Organization marks the 17th World Milk Day on June 1, Mongolia is to celebrate the day for the second time under the slogan ‘Let’s bless the future with milk’ this Thursday, Children’s Day.
The Milk Day will be celebrated in Mongolia for 10 days, said the organizers during a press conference on May 29, Monday. The organizers include the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industries, UNFAO, Global Communities international organization, Mongolian National Council for Dairy Industry Development and the Girl Scout Association of Mongolia.
On June 1, Children’s Day, the Milk Day celebration will commence on the central square, and the organizers plan to gift 10 thousand children with ‘Maamuu’ milk, a product of APU company.
Moreover on June 9-10, the open days of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industries, introduction to dairy farming and promotion of benefits of milk will take place on the central square.
