‘Made in Ulaanbaatar’ sub-program to boost processing industry in UB

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Citizens Representative Meeting of the capital city recently approved a sub-program ‘Made in Ulaanbaatar’ to boost processing industry in the capital.

63.9 per cent of all companies in Mongolia operates in Ulaanbaatar. The sub-program aims to support producers through cluster, investment and proper policy, to improve competitiveness of production and services, to create jobs through promoting and increasing sales of products with label ‘Made in Ulaanbaatar’.

Moreover, a policy to support eco-friendly production will be realized, domestic production of products, which meet customers’ needs, will be protected and supported through budgetary procurement, foreign investment and financial policy, underlined the capital officials.

A discussion was held in connection with the sub-program development with the participation of over one thousand people and proposals by the businessmen were reflected in the sub-program. As a result of the sub-program, high quality new products and services with label ‘Made in Ulaanbaatar, which replace importing products are expected to be created and positively influence to economic growth.
