Rock band “Hurd” to stage charity concert

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In times of disaster and nationwide vulnerability due to the raging forest fires throughout the country, one of Mongolia's oldest rock bands “Hurd” is coming to aid like many others. Hurd is staging a concert this Saturday in the central stadium.
Proceeds from the concert will reportedly be donated to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) through the members of the State Emergency Commission. The band has requested NEMA to assist them with technical instruments to be used for the performance. “Hurd” has called other celebrities to join the campaign for helping each other in extinguishing the fires.
For the last few days 22 wildfires had been burning in various locations. Earlier today, NEMA announced that it has finally captured control over all wildfires and had extinguished the largest forest fire, which was in Batsumber soum of Tuv (Central) aimag, by inducing rain.
