P.Orkhon receives Olympic scholarships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ D.Zagdsuren, president of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC), received Friday P.Orkhon, a gold medalist of the Wrestling World Championships, her coaches and administrative officials of the Free-Style Wrestling Federation of Mongolia.
During the meeting, the MNOC president granted scholarships for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games to Orkhon and her coach Ts.Khosbayar.
The scholarship program for athletes is announced by the MNOC with a purpose to back athletes, who are possible to win medals in the Olympics. In accordance with the rule, the scholarship could be canceled if a recipient committed ethical violations or used doping substances or illegal drugs.
The previous scholarship program for the Rio 2016 Olympics involved 17 athletes.
