Judokas collect medals in Judo World Championship Juniors 2017

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Young judokas grabbed medals in the World Judo Championship Juniors 2017 kicked off Wednesday in Zagreb, Croatia.
On the first day, L.Unurbold claimed bronze medal in the men’s -55 kg weight category contest. In the first round, he defeated Mohamed Ayari of Tunisia with two wazari. He beat a Kyrgyz judoka in the second round, but then he lost to Papinashvili Jaba of Georgia in the quarterfinals. He won the bronze medal after defeating his rivals of Russia and Georgia in the repechage rounds.
The same day, J.Amarbold captured bronze medal in the men’s -60 kg contest. In the bronze medal contest, he defeated a Brazilian judoka Penna Robson.
On October 19, the World Judo Championship Juniors will continue with divisions of junior men’s -66 kg, -73 kg, junior women’s -52 kg and -57 kg.
