HIF to bear costs of screening test

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The screening tests and diagnosis are now available free for people aged 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 who have health insurance.
The insured is eligible to choose one of the three types of test package that cost MNT50 thousand each. The service fee is to be covered by the Health Insurance Fund.
“Involving the insured people in the early detection tests is so vital to protect people from financial risks caused by health problems, and to decrease mortality rate and Health Insurance Fund’s expenditure in longer period,” said J. Chinburen, head of the Department for Health and Social Insurance Policy Implementation.
This campaign, started on October 16, is estimated to involve 174 thousand people in total. It will last until December 31, 2017.
In a scope of the campaign, 32 health organizations in Ulaanbaatar and 45 in rural areas are entitled to serve with the screening tests.
