N.Tuvshinbayar: There is no higher honor than serving one’s nation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Upon receiving the highest honor from the Government of Mongolia on National Pride Day, Olympic Champion, judoka N.Tuvshinbayar expressed his deepest gratitude.
The 33-year-old judoka, State Honored Athlete, Hero of Labor and recipient of the Order of Sukhbaatar, received the Order of Chinggis Khaan on the National Pride Day which fell on November 19.
At the beginning of his speech, the Beijing Olympic gold medalist and London Olympic silver medalist conveyed his National Pride Day greetings to all Mongolians around the globe.
“I am very proud to have been born to an ordinary herding family in Mongolia, land of good people, beautiful nature and serene sky,” said N.Tuvshinbayar, expressing his delight at being presented with the First-Class Order named after Chinggis Khaan.
“I wouldn’t be where I am today without the traditional Mongolian background, faultless upbringing by my parents, undivided care from my spouse and children, unconditional support from my peers, friends and teachers, blessing from my glorious ancestors and hope entrusted to me by the Mongolian people,” he said.
“The Olympic gold medal was won by the hard works and diligent efforts of all Mongolian athletes and coaches since Mongolia started participating in the Olympics. It pleases me highly that this medal brought peace and unity to Mongolia,” he noted. The Olympic champion said that everyone has equal opportunities as long as they remain committed to their goals.
“There is no higher honor than serving one’s nation,” said N.Tuvshinbayar, encouraging every Mongolian to work towards the making of a Mongolian Pride and expressing his readiness to continue to do so. “It is our duty to transmit a Mongolian heart to the future generations,” he added.
