Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin works in Zamyn-Uud free zone

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin worked at Zamyn-Uud free economic zone on December 18, giving assignments to Governor of Zamyn-Uud free zone and other related officials.
He got acquaintance with the construction works of water supply, sewerage, road, thermal power plant, electricity supply and communication infrastructure which were built in frame of Zamyn-Uud Infrastructure Improvement Project. The works were funded with USD50 million soft loans from the People Republic of China and USD8.8 million from Government of Mongolia. The Deputy PM underlined Zamyn-Uud free zone should be start its operation urgently.
A joint working group will be set up comprising of Customs General Administration, Ministry of Construction and Urban Development and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other organizations that are taking part in free zone affairs so that regulations are adhered solidly. The free zone should use H2 international road which is connecting Altanbulag-Zamyn-Uud, he stated.
Governor of Zamyn-Uud free zone I.Batnasan expressed that the free zone administration is ready to work taking responsibilities for buildings constructed in the free zone, its operations and management. However he mentioned that to start the free zone's operation, two facilities should be completed with funding of MNT2.5 billion and financial support is also needed for thermal power plant’s operational cost.
