Sukhbaatar district sets an example in waste recycling

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Sukhbaatar district has installed waste sorting bins in its district headquarter and quarter offices to encourage recycling among citizens.
Sorted plastic waste will be given to people who collect plastic for living, while paper waste will go to manufacturers of toilet rolls. They expect to lessen workload of cleaning workers and reduce frequency of garbage collection. The district is also set to organize educational courses to promote recycling habits for children in kindergartens and schools.
Recyclable waste such as paper, plastic bottles and aluminum cans takes up 30 percent of total waste.
