Female MPs meet Indian representatives of medical sector

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Members of Parliament N.Oyundari, D.Oyunkhorol, M.Oyunchimeg and D.Sarangerel met Ravi Shanker Goel, Second Secretary of the Embassy of India in Mongolia and physicians and specialists from Apollo Hospitals on January 19.

At the beginning of the meeting, MP D.Oyunkhorol expressed interest to broaden cooperation between Mongolia and India in medical sector, requesting support to improve management of medical sector of Mongolia and learn from new technologies. Moreover she gave information on ‘Healthy liver- Mongolia’ national program.

In turn, Mr.Ravi Shanker Goel briefed about cooperation in medical sector between the two countries and he informed equipment for diagnosing cancer was granted from India to the National Cancer Center of Mongolia.  Trainings on operation of the equipment are constantly being conducted and in 2018, Mongolian doctors and specialists will be also involved in trainings in India, he underlined.  

Furthermore, Consultant Physician of Apollo Hospitals, Dr.Sameer Kaul submitted an recommendation to MPs about how to fight cancer. He advised that registration of all cases of cancer, having precise number of people with cancer is required to make analysis and decisions and it will give positive results in fighting cancer.  Moreover he also recommends Government to implement proper programs and collaborate with non-governmental organizations, supporting their activities.
