MPs competing in chess tournament

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Traditional chess competition among parliament members named ‘Ingenious Members of Parliament’ is taking place on February 5 at the State House.
"Chess sport is considered as a strategic and intellectual sport in the world. Our group did quite many works to develop chess sport especially in backing junior chess players and preparing future great masters. The most important work is to be fulfilled this year is to commence construction of a Chess Palace. Countries such as Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kalmyc Republic of Russia support mind sports as a core of their state policy, have Chess Palaces and encourage young chess players. We share the same goal," said head of the lobby group for chess sport in parliament and MP L.Oyun-Erdene in his opening remarks.
The competition is open only for MPs and matches are to be played by six boards with Swiss system. MPs Ts.Nyamdorj, D,Lundeejantsan, Kh.Bolorchuluun, G.Zandanshatar, Yo.Baatarbileg, B.Saranchimeg, A.Sukhbat, G.Temuulen, L.Enkhbold and O.Enkhtuvshin are competing in the 2nd chess tournament.
