Mongolia-Egypt political consultation held in Cairo

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ The fifth political consultative meeting between the Foreign Affairs Ministries of Mongolia and the Arab Republic of Egypt took place on February 4 in Cairo, Egypt.
Mongolian side was led by D.Davaasuren, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
During the meeting, the sides agreed to cooperate in stimulating bilateral political dialogue which was quite inactive in recent years, calling a regular intergovernmental commission’s meeting, intensifying bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, culture, education and tourism sectors, expanding people-to-people exchange and business ties by means of improving legal environment of private sector and investment, and making efforts to attract mutual investment. With this purpose, the Egyptian side pledged to study an issue to facilitate tourism visa.
The sides also expressed their satisfactions with continuing Mongolia-Egypt traditional relations and cooperation in international arena with mutual supports and decided to cooperate in the United Nations peacekeeping operations.
At the meeting, the both sides presented reports on internal situation of socio-economy and politics and foreign policies of the countries and exchanged views on a wide-range of regional and international issues.
In the end, they decided to organize the next meeting in Ulaanbaatar.
