Voluntary blood donation to be promoted

Ulaanbaatar /MONTAME/ Inauguration of media campaign to promote voluntary non-remunerated blood donation which will be implemented within the framework of Fifth Health Sector Development Project took place on February 12 in the National Blood Transfusion Research Center (NBTRC).
The project is being realized by Ministry of Health with soft loan from Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the campaign will be organized for 8 months with engagement of organizations including Mongol Content LLC, NBTRC and Mongolian Red Cross Society. Works of journalism about voluntary non-remunerated blood donation will be distributed to the public via mass media and social network.
Introduction of new methods of kidney, liver, bone marrow and other organ transplant surgeries increases necessity of blood and blood products year by year. Therefore we decided to hold this campaign nationwide, said NBTRC Director Ph.D N.Erdenebayar.
