‘Ulaanbaatar Railway’ receives Golden Chariot Award

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The ‘Ulaanbaatar Railway’, Mongolian-Russian Joint Stock Company transported 22.8 million tonnes of cargo last year, setting a historical record.
The ‘Golden Chariot Award’ committee consisting of directors and transport experts of the International Union of Railways, the Organization for Cooperation of Railways, the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies, the Coordinating Council on Trans-Siberian Transportation, the International Air Cargo Association and the International Road Transport Union named the ‘Ulaanbaatar Railway’ as the "Golden Chariot" of 2017.

Moreover, our transit transportation has drastically increased, demonstrating itself thereby as a major railway corridor connecting Asia and Europe. In 2016, 168 freight trains passed through the territory of our country, whereas in 2017 this number reached 556. The success of the company has been highly appreciated by our neighbors, as well as the international organizations.
