Empowered bankers to contribute to improving financial literacy

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A closing ceremony for ‘Theoretical and practical training for bank workers’ and 'Project on launching World savings day’ took place at the Bank of Mongolia.
During the ceremony, 41 workers of 11 commercial banks received certification for their participation in the training.
The Bank of Mongolia, the German Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation and the Mongolian Bankers Association (MBA) jointly implemented the project for one year.
J.Unenbat, CEO of the MBA, said that basic financial literacy is important for people to choose product and service based on their needs. So, the project contributed to raise their financial literacy by building capacity of bank workers who communicate directly with customers.
Following J.Unenbat, T.Maral-Erdene, communication manager of the Golomt Bank noted that the training which ran for seven months was fruitful for bank workers to give efficient advice for their customers.
