Aeroflot plans to increase capacity in route Moscow and Ulaanbaatar this summer
Aeroflot Regional Representative Office reported that Russian Airlines, Aeroflot is planning to increase the capacity of aircraft en route Moscow – Ulaanbaatar this summer.

According to report on the average market price of livestock in January 2019, average price of the castrated camel was the highest in Dundgobi aimag at MNT 1.2 million, while the lowest was in Dornod aimag at MNT 730.0 thousand.

Foreign trade surplus reaches USD 103.3 million in January
In January 2019, foreign trade surplus reached USD 103.3 million, increased by USD 40.6 million (64.7 percent) from USD 62.7 million in the same period of 2018.

Economically active population of Mongolia stands at 1.3 million
The fourth quarter results of 2018 Labour Force Survey shows that at the national level there are 1.3 million economically active population aged 15 and over, out of which, 732.7 (54.5 percent) thousand persons are male and 612.6 (45.5percent) thousand persons are female. Also, the survey result indicates that 764.2 (56.8 percent) thousands of economically active population live in urban areas, while 581.1 (43.2 percent) thousand live in rural areas.

Intellectual Property Office grants 347 patents in January
According to the report from the Intellectual Property Office of Mongolia, in 2018, 428 applications filed by citizens and legal entities to obtain a patent for inventions or industrial design and 347 patents are granted.

Japanese funded solar power plant to be built in Khovd aimag
With the financing of the World Bank, a solar power plant with a capacity of 10 MW is to be built. Moreover, Japanese LOOP LLC is conducting a feasibility study to build another 10 MW solar power plant with its own funding.
