Foreign trade turnover increases by 25 percent

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Foreign trade turnover reached USD 2.6 billion in the first three months of 2018, showing USD 536 million or 25 percent increase compared to the same period of last year.
Foreign trade balance was positive as export volume exceeded import by USD 351 million. Goods and raw materials of USD 1.4 billion were exported which means up by 14 percent as compared with the same period of previous year. 84.5 percent of total export was mineral products, 8.4 percent were jewelery, precious metals, and coins, 0.4 percent were leather raw materials, hide, fur and leather goods and 1.8 percent were textile and textile goods.
Mongolia made export to 48 countries and of which 86.7 percent to China, 8.9 percent to Great Britain and 1.2 percent to Russia, the Mongolian Customs General Administration reports.
