‘Importance of internet security’ forum held

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An international forum themed ‘Importance of internet security’ was organized by MobiCom Corporation together with Asia-Pacific Network Information Center (APNIC) and Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
Despite various reminders and warnings about information security and internet threats, people do not pay needed attention to it. Therefore, the MobiCom Corporation annually hosts international trainings on this matter.
Presentations with two main topics, International tendencies and Current state of Mongolia were made during the forum, including ‘Internet safety-Strong fundament for Internet development’ by APNIC’s Infrastructure and Development director Che-Hoo Cheng, ‘Securing the Domain Name System’ by ICANN’s Regional Engagement Manager Champika Wijayatunga and ‘The latest tendencies in network security’ by KDDI Corporation expert Jin Tanaka.
Head of the Regulatory Department of the Communications Regulatory Commission S.Dolgorsuren, UNICEF Child Protection specialist D.Amarmaa and Mobinet LLC CEO Ts.Idermunkh introduced current state of internet security in Mongolia.
About 110 representatives of public and private organisations took part in the forum and shared their knowledge and experiences.
