World Book Day to be celebrated nationwide

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The World Book Day will be celebrated nationwide on April 20-25 by the decision of the Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports.
During the event the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the Printing Houses Association and Mongolian Writers Union will sign a memorandum of cooperation as well as printing houses, writers, publishers, librarians and readers will organize the ‘We love books’ event in front of the Central Sports Palace on April 20.
The public libraries of Ulaanbaatar includig National Library, Children’s Central Library and UB Public Library will offer library cards free of charge on April 23.
The UB Public Library named after D.Natsagdorj will join the ‘Global book service’ international book service for people with visual impairments. By joining the service, the automatic book transmission system and digital catalogue with more than 355 thousand books from 25 countries will be accessible to the readers.
