B.Bayarmaa becomes World Champion in Amateur Chess

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On April 21-30, FIDE World Amateur Chess Championship 2018 is taking place in Sardinia Italy and Mongolian chess player B.Bayarmaa has become World Champion.In Women’s U2300 category of the tournament, 2017 Champion of the FIDE World Amateur Chess Championship, FIDE Master B.Bayarmaa won the gold medal claiming her second World Champion title.
Nine athletes from Mongolia have competed in the tournament grabbing one gold, one silver and two bronze medals. In the Women's U1700 category B.Khaliun won silver, in Men's Open U2300 category FIDE Master M.Gunbayar won bronze medal, in Women's U2000 category E.Amarjargal won bronze medal.
