Ulaanbaatar Travel Expo takes place

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ulaanbaatar Travel Expo opened at the National Garden Park on June 2. The expo co-organized by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Ulaanbaatar city Tourism Department and Ulaanbaatar Tourism Association is aimed at developing domestic tourism, spreading information on opportunities to travel to the natural attractions of Mongolia and abroad at a reasonable cost and enhancing the knowledge of the local travelers on eco-friendly tourism.
Opening the expo, Deputy Governor in charge of green development and air pollution J.Batbayasgalan said “Mongolia is one of the best countries to travel with its beautiful nature, nomadic culture and hospitality. The expo is taking place in the most favorable season for travel to provide citizens with information on how to properly plan the travel at home and abroad.”
About 80 domestic entities and organizations promoted the country and tourism during the exhibition. In addition, over 50 representatives led by deputy director of the Cooperation Department at Tourism Development Committee of Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region and Vice Mayor of Erenhot Du De Shing attended the expo from People’s Republic of China, which leads with the number of tourists to Mongolia.
Moreover, events including tourism teacher and researchers’ presentations, ‘Ulaanbaatar travel cup’ football competition for sport lovers, Ulaanbaatar Ensemble’s performance that combines traditional and contemporary music were held at the expo.
