The First International Conference on Pathology held in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The First International Conference on Pathology was held in Ulaanbaatar on June 7-8, jointly organized by World Health Organization, Ministry of Health, National Pathology Center, Bio-medicine school of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, National Cancer Center, Mongolian Society of Histopathology and Cytopathology, Mongolian Division of the International Academy of Pathology and New Medicine University.

The conference was held in connection with the second stage of the ‘Whole Liver-Mongolia’ National Program. 
Scientists and professors from South Korea, Germany, Russia and Japan delivered lectures at the conference under the themes: ‘Liver Pathology Study’ on the first day and ‘Non-Liver Pathology Study’ on the second day.  




Opening ceremony at the Ministry of Health, was attended by Deputy Minister of Health L.Byambasuren, Director of National Pathology Center G.Uyanga, Director of Bio-medicine school of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences J.Tuvshinjargal, Director of National Cancer Center J.Chinburen, Head of Mongolian Society of Histopathology and Cytopathology Sh.Enkhtuya, Head of Mongolian Division of the International Academy of Pathology H.Gerelee and Director of New Medicine University, M.Ambaga.

Mongolia has been cooperating with foreign professional institutions and universities to improve knowledge and skills of pathologists, cell biologists, biomedical cell biologists, tissue laboratory technicians, forensic pathologist, lecturers and researchers of Medical Universities, doctors, researchers and students for liver, brain and urology units, doctors for liver transplant unit and oncologists and to study international experiences.
Mongolia-Korea joint conference, for example has been organized for 10 times in collaboration with Korean Society of Pathologists since 2007, Mongolian-Germany joint pathology and forensic pathology training and academic conferences for seven times in collaboration with German Institute of Pathology since 2009, and the First Mongolia-Japan joint seminar on Cell Pathology study in collaboration with the Japanese Gunma University in 2017.
