US Non-refundable assistance to be used for UB water supply improvement

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ During its regular meeting on June 13, the Cabinet endorsed a draft of the Compact Agreement to be signed between the Government of Mongolia and the US Millennium Challenge Corporation and authorized Foreign Affairs Minister D.Tsogtbaatar to sign the agreement.
Under the Second Compact, USD350 million will be granted to increase the bulk water supply of Ulaanbaatar. For instance, it will focus on a range of water-related issues; improvement of water supply and delivery, industrial water reuse, and associated regulatory reform.
