Special needs camp for disabled children and youth opens

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 'Mongolian PwD Development Center' NGO established the ‘Work camp for disabled children and youth” special needs camp.
The camp is aimed to increase the self-reliance of young people with disabilities of working age, give them opportunity to work and provide them with secondary and higher education. In doing so, they will follow the principle of equal participation or 1+1 principle, based on participation of one healthy person and one disabled person.
In addition to the programs for children, the camp offers services for parents including stress relief massage, psychotherapy, expert advice on child development and healthy eating. The NGO considers it will be effective to develop children's working skills and cognitive abilities through recreation, fresh air and animal husbandry.
