Cooperation to be developed in inspections of food and medicinal products

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ D.Enkhsaikhan, deputy Chief of the General Agency for Specialized Inspection (GASI) met Chinese delegates led by Qin Yizhi, deputy Director of the State Market Regulatory Administration (SMRA), on July 26.
During the meeting, Mr. Enkhsaikhan introduced the structure, functions and inspections of the GASI and its agreements, protocols and cooperation with Chinese inspection organization. Moreover, he asked Chinese side to support to restore export of meat and meat products as animal disease recorded in Mongolia’s western aimags has been successfully abolished.
Appreciating for distributing quality foods to Chinese people with GASI’s support, deputy Director Qin Yizhi gave information about newly established SMRA.” Although the organization was newly formed, protocols and agreements established previously with Mongolia are still effective and it is pleasant to cooperate in inspections of food, drugs and medicinal products. Also, we can collaborate in eradicating contagious animal disease and ceasing quarantine,” he added.
Following the meeting, the sides saw activities of the National Reference Laboratory for Food Safety, GASI.
