Adverse effects of radio waves to be restricted

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Bill on amendment to the Radio Wave Law of Mongolia was backed today by the Cabinet at its regular meeting. The Cabinet has decided to submit it to the Parliament. The State Policy on the Development of Information and Communications Technology includes a regulation on promoting coordination and planning of radio waves. However, the Law on Radio Wave, adopted in 1999, has never been amended.
Thus, the Cabinet formulated a Bill on the effects of radio waves on people’s health and environment, effective use of its limited frequency resources, making of unified radio frequency policy and planning, as well as promotion of new services that meet the needs of citizens through innovative and creative activities of the Government. Some actions on preventing and restricting adverse effects of radio waves will be taken if the Parliament passes the Bill.
