Solidarity Center gives advice to revise Labor LawSociety
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Social Policy, Education, Culture and Science Yo.Baatarbileg received Legal Director of the Rule of Law Department of the Solidarity Center Jeff Vogt on March 20.
Beginning the meeting, Secretary of the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions G.Adiya said that the International Labor Organization Country Office for Mongolia cooperates with the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organization (AFL-CIO). In the frames of the cooperation, Mr.Jeff Vogt is visiting to Mongolia and giving advice on the Labor Law revision bill, soon to be presented to the Parliament.
Mr.Jeff Vogt said "We are assisting the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions in the frames of the Revision to the Labor Law. My main aim is to make recommendation on the revision to the Labor Law in compliance with the international standard. As I noticed, there is a necessity to adjust some articles with the International Labor Organization Conventions.”
MP Yo.Baatarbileg thanked Mr.Jeff Vogt for sharing his experience and knowledge. Then he gave a brief information on the current Labor Law of Mongolia and features of the revision to the Labor Law.
At the end of the meeting, Yo.Baatarbileg expressed pleasure to cooperate with the Solidarity and asked Jeff Vogt to submit his recommendation for the Confederation of Mongolia Trade Unions to the Standing Committee as well.
