Chinggis Khaan to grace us with his presence on stageArt & Culture
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The talented performers of the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet will be presenting the Chinggis Khaan opera, written by State Laureate B.Sharav, on stage on November 8.
The opera with 2 acts and 6 scenes was first brought to stage on May 3, 2003. Composition written by the famous literary figure P.Badarch, it shows friendship and conflict in the life of Chinggis Khaan during the years of 1171-1189.Despite going through orphanhood, separation and suffering as well as being looked down on and getting captured when he was young, the opera will show that with the teachings of mother Oulen, his courage, resolution and great mind Chinggis Khaan is able to create his Great Empire, rekindling the prosperity and founding the state.
