Mongolian studies conference takes place in Canberra

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Embassy of Mongolia in Australia, in collaboration with the Mongolian Studies Centre at the Australian National University, organized a scientific conference on Mongolian studies ‘Mongols at the Edges of Mongolia’ on November 9 in Canberra, Australia.


11 scholars from Mongolia, the Republic of Buryatia and the Republic of Kalmykia of Russia, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China and Australia took part in the conference, making presentations on the challenges faced by Mongols settled in the countries surrounding Mongolia in preserving their history, language, culture and tradition.  


The discussion was aired on the Mongolian National Broadcaster.
