Equipment for earthquake risk assessment presented to NEMA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In partnership with JICA, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is currently implementing the project Strengthening the National Capacity of Earthquake Disaster Protection and Prevention in Mongolia from 2017 to 2019. The project’s aim is to improve earthquake disaster protection countermeasures through enhancing prevention and preparedness. In the framework of the project, JICA presented NEMA equipment that will be used to earthquake risk assessment of building structures as well as in training.


Chief of NEMA, Major General T.Badral, Chief Representative of JICA Mongolia Office Sato Mutsumi were present at the event.
