One stop service center for victims of violence opened

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ Funded with UNFPA and Khan-Uul District
administration, One Stop Service Center (OSSC) for victims/survivors of
domestic violence was opened today in Khan-Uul district by expanding its ‘temporary accommodation
for victims’.
Initiated by the Governor
Office and Family, Child and Youth Development Department of Khan-Uul District,
the district pioneered opening a ‘Temporary accommodation’ for victims of
domestic violence in June, 2017. It created a possibility to give immediate
protection service to children, women and people who suffered domestic violence
and provide with social services at professional level.
Present at the opening ceremony, the district’s Governor A.Amartuvshin, UNFPA Representative in Mongolia Naomi Kitahara, representatives from Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation as well as others.
